WHO WE ARE
History
Praboromarajchanok Institute was established in 1993 under the name “Institute for Health Workforce Development”. The institute gathered organizations that responded to health workforce creation and development from various divisions and departments, including Colleges of Nursing and Colleges of Public Health.
- In 1994, the Institute for Health Workforce Development was allowed to be named after Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, The institute’s name was changed to “Praboromarajchanok Institute.”
- In the same year, the institute was granted the royal permission to rename colleges of public health after Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to “Sirindhorn College of Public Health.”
- In 1996, King Bhumibol Adulyadej granted a new name to the Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology, “Kanchanabhishek Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology.”
- In 2019, the Praboromrajchanok Institute Act was enacted and announced.
- The Faculty of Public Health and Allied Health Sciences was established, September 27th 2021, in accordance with the Act. The institute includes 9 affiliated colleges:
- Abhaibhubejhr College of Thai Traditional Medicine Prachinburi (ACTTM)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen (SCPHKK)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Chonburi (SCPHC)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Trang (SCPHTR)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Phitsanulok (SCPHPL)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Yala (SCPHYL)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Suphanburi (SCPHSP)
- Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani (SCPHUB)
- Kanchanabhishek Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology (KMPHT)
